01. Won the first prize in the Golden Jubilee of Independence award by BSEC

Island Securities Limited was awarded the Golden Jubilee of Independence Award by the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission in the Stock Broker and Stock Dealer category at the inaugural ceremony held on October 10, 2022, at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in Dhaka. It was the first-ever Golden Jubilee Award launched by BSEC to recognize excellence among capital market intermediaries.

02. Founding Member of Chittagong Stock Exchange

Launched operations on 10 October 1995, the very first day of trading at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE). ISL stands as one of the very first brokerage firms in the region. One of its founders, Mr. Mohammed Mohiuddin FCMA, served on the founding board of CSE and remains a prominent figure in the Bangladeshi capital market.

03. Growth in Paid-Up Capital & Licensing

Originally incorporated in January 1996 with a paid-up capital of Tk. 2.5 million, the company has expanded its capital to Tk. 299 million.

In June 2008, ISL acquired membership on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) a major expansion beyond its home market in Chittagong.

04. Implementation of Order Management System (OMS)

In 2024, ISL launched an Order Management System (OMS) aimed at digitizing and streamlining its operations a key step in becoming a more modern, efficiency-focused brokerage.

05. Investor Education & Market Development

ISL organized workshops to enhance capital market knowledge and investment skills, advancing investor education a commitment to bolstering Bangladesh’s market culture.

06. ISL has 34 offices

ISL has 15 branches, 2 corporate extension offices and 17 sub-branches.
